FAVORITE FINDS #2 – HERMAN MILLER CHAIR

One of my all time favorite finds is this swivelling Herman Miller office chair. I picked up the chair at a thrift shop for under $10 and got super excited when I got home and saw it was Herman Miller. I love the pale chartreuse colour of the tweed green fabric which is in pretty good shape, as is the fiberglass. The only issues are some scrapes in the trim and a little squeaking when you swivel which I have grown used to and now it is just part of the chair’s appeal.

It is a classic Eames shell style chair made for Herman Miller. It has the marking but no paper tag.

I found a photo of the same style of chair in a 1965 book titled Interior Decoration A-Z by Betty Pepis.

I have used this chair as a desk chair and an accent chair. I got a great deal on it considering I have seen these chairs sell for $200-$400. I won’t be reselling it though…I like it too much.
